Nice place to learn more about Matera! They try to reconstruct the previous living situation as far as possible. The figures, the animals, the furnitures , the tools and the foods ……. One can get a quick impression of the way of the cave people’s life.

A 1 room exhibition showing a typical farmers house in old Matera. Audio tour of a well built room and worth the 2€.
3 cats of different sorts, I think spells out how fantastic it is. But seriously, I was so surprised how small the sassi people were.
A must visit when in Matera. Entrance only 2€. Gives you an insight how people lived here till 1950s.
Could help to create the idea of what is a typical house back in the time. - very recommended!
